“Life on earth is just the dress rehearsal before the real production."...from Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life. Do we really live this idea, or has materialism, financial success and status become our goal? God wants all of us, not just part of us. I want to give Him my all everyday and I pray that KCFY will be a tool that God uses to help you do the same!
I've been a Christian since September of 1980 when Jesus changed my life. I have not always followed his ways and have relied on my own strength, but he remains faithful to me and has shown me over the years that my strength is useless, but his is forever strong.
After graduating from Biola University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication in 1990, I went on to KBRT AM 740 as a live producer. My wife, Donna and I moved to Yuma in January of 1992 to put KCFY on the air March 2, 1992.
Since then our family has grown to include Alyssa Janae (11 yrs) and Joshua Franklin (9 yrs) and our Chow Chow Shasta.
Our church home is Stone Ridge Church where I'm the bassist for our Worship team and I serve as the President of Relevant Media, and am a Board member of Ballet Yuma.  Just remember, the short time we have on this earth can't compare to eternity with Jesus, so live each day like it's your last!

The BONDORA Family...in Yuma, ARIZONA!!!???

This ain't Mississippi, ya'll !!!

...it's not quite heaven, but we are certainly seeing the heavenly happen!

YES, God is MOVING, here, in the desert Southwest!!!

My beautiful wife, Valerie, our four children: Juston (now in the U.S. Army), Andrew (now living in MS), Chloe, and Haylee (both getting ready for a new school year, at Cibola High) moved here in 2000.  Since moving to Yuma, God has blessed to serve in local Yuma churches, build lasting friendships, & has tremendously increased our area of influence.  We now serve among an awesome family of Jesus  followers, at Trinity Christian Center (TCC), as Associate Pastors, and are so amazed to see the way our Lord readily and mightily uses all who are willing!

In addition to being in ministry, a full time High School English teacher, and fabulous mom, in her “spare time” Valerie is also working on her Master's Degree!...YES, she is amazing!!!...and I am extremely blessed!!!

We've been here for these years and I still have friends, back East, continue to ask me, “Why, Yuma?”...All I can say, is God called us and we're here, until He says differently!  The reality being, regardless of our current residence, we are actually ambassadors for Jesus,  proclaiming His amazing grace and having a blast doing it!

Though Valerie and I have been in ministry for some twelve years, this “radio experience” only started in August of 2002.  this is His ministry and He allows us to be a part of it.  Though I came onboard with KCFY in 2002, in actuality, a job interview never 'officially' occurred.  Greg Myers and I simply 'hit it off' and  were both  gifted with the same passion of seeing people introduced to our glorious Lord, build up believers in Jesus Christ, and being catalysts for unity among God's family.  After a short time, we also discovered God had brought us together for  greater purposes than either of us had dreamed of, at least, in quite some time.  In the short time of being a part of this media-ministry, God has allowed us to assemble an anointed and progressive team, each of having different roles and talents, working together, in unity.  Wow, the Bible, in action!

1 Corinthians 12:18 (NIV) “But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be”.

As Paul also points out, in that same chapter, our roles are different, but we work together, as part of His body!  This is just a glimpse of the potential, as the Family of God focuses on Jesus and works together under His direction!!!

No...He's not finished with me, my family, KCFY, OR YOU!

I can't wait to see what He does next!!!  Are you willing to be a part of it?!?!?

Sheldon Vicks
Program Director/Music Director
Host - "Vicks in the Morning"

Well it's been a year  in Yuma and we still love it!

I came to Yuma because God told me to...that's the truth. I have been in radio for most of my life (that means a long time) I have had the opportunity to work in some big markets like Sacramento, Las Vegas and the San Fransisco bay area, I also worked 5 years for Motown Records as an entertainment director...boy was that fun! God has given me the wonderful joy of working with a lot of big name celebrity's.

Today God is giving the wonderful joy of working for Him with a great group people. The staff here at KCFY has accepted me with open arms and Yuma is awesome!  When I first told my wife Catherine that God was telling me to take my gifts and talents some place else and reach more people; there was no more I could do in northern California and at that time I had no idea where it was but I knew I had to go. Funny 'cause my wife and I had talked about not moving anymore because we were done with that and really needed to focus on raising our two daughters Ashley and Nicole. One day looking on line I came across an add for a new program director for a Christian station, I immediately called my agent (wife Catherine) and she said “go for it,” and I swung for the fence and hit a home run and landed in Yuma, Arizona. We had no idea where Yuma was located but knew God was calling and we had to go.

I sing, write, act, stand up comedy (currently working on a Christian act), worship leader, youth worship leader and motivational speaker.  Call me I would love to come to your church and speak to your youth or adults.

KCFY Account Executive

WOW! Where does the time go…When I think of this phrase, I think about how God says one-day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like one-day. This past year has been a blessing with some adjustment. Along with change, there is always an adjustment period and it’s during these times that I seek my Lord for my sufficiency more than ever. Matthew 6:33 reads, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. This is the scripture I live by and share very often with people. I’m thankful that the Lord continues to use ordinary people to do extraordinary things, because ordinary I am. Now, some may argue that point, but, no time to go into that now…LOL KCFY continues to be a BIG blessing in my life and it’s an honor to work with this ministry. My prayers throughout the coming year is that Churches and listeners will realize the impact we are having, not only locally, but all over the world via Internet streaming and will team up with KCFY to help reach the lost. If you would like to get your Business Name out to the community of Yuma and beyond, please give Lynette a call at 341-9730. I look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Teaming up with you to help grow the kingdom,

Lynette Toepfer
